Glenn mcgrath wins the award of player of the tournament. he took 26 wicket in this worldcup. this is highest by any bowler in a worldcup. srilanka was giving a good reply of australia total when he reached on 123/1 with the help of santh jaisurya and kumar sangakara. but at that match is interrupted due to rain . when the game again start srilanka lost two quick wickets and also lost the world cup. but it's excellent performance by australian player and he truely deserve the worldcup.
